The third smartphone operating system, HarmonyOS2. For its function and introduction method, please see Dr. Yamagan's report. This time I would like to confirm the current situation of the Japanese environment.

As of June 2021, some of the high-end models of Huawei and "only the Chinese version" will be able to introduce HarmonyOS. I don't think 99.99% of the Japanese care about it, but when I arrive here, I will see people from Sochi. I hope you can move forward easily.

In the setting, several languages, including Japanese, can be selected from the beginning, and to some extent, the global response seems to have made progress.

# after checking the Japanese environment of HarmonyOS, it makes people feel that "Oh" is gradually …... This ordinary pattern. Without a global version, we can't bake ROM, where to remove these elements, and without Google Play, we can put these elements in it. Almost all the standard applications on the home page are in Japanese. However, some applications are opened to Chinese (or English) UI, even if it is Japanese, it can only be used from China.

More importantly, I want to know that there are wanaka and Chinese APP in it.

However, these can be uninstalled.

Chinese will be queued on the HUAWEI Assistant that appears when the home page slides to the left, so it is turned off from the home screen. Standard browser search window can also see Chinese, those who care about as long as the introduction of Edge, Firefox, Opera and so on. Third-party browsers can also be set as the system default.

So, to uninstall unwanted Chinese applications is to build a Japanese environment.

The problem is text input. Standard IME is in Chinese and English. Other languages can also be downloaded and added, but Japanese can only enter Roman characters.

Therefore, you need to install a portable Japanese input application, while HUAWEI's AppGallery is only around Shimeji. Shimeji is better, but try the Gboard that APK can get in Petal search, and there is no problem except for voice input.

If you invalidate the gesture operation and use the button operation (the so-called old operation method), the button will appear under the screen, and the position of the keyboard will rise, so the misoperation will be reduced, especially in the case of a terminal with a larger picture. if it is the current button operation, it is still very inconvenient.

To improve the keyboard position while taking full advantage of terminal gestures, you can only look for a Japanese input application that can adjust the upper and lower position of the text panel (Gboard can also float, but it's a little hard to use). ATOK does this but cannot get APK because it is a paid application. Previously, I tried OMRON's Wnn, which is also used in the HUAWEI terminal, and the result was very smooth.

Can we use Google services?

So, when it comes to Huawei, Google (not available), the status quo on HarmonyOS is no different from that of EMUI. Amazon's app store and Petal search, and then loading the Web (HTML) version of Quick App, will have a way to some extent.

This time, we also tried Installing GMS On HarmonyOS introduced by foreign YouTuber. This is the power to set up a virtual space where GMS runs and start from a shortcut on Huawei terminals that cannot be included in the system.

In addition, with regard to YouTube, the magic transformation app that starts with V is very famous, and the P in P over there is also relatively stable, but in the current HarmonyOS, there is a problem of logging in and going offline.

I've tried other Google apps on Gspace, but everyone's actions are not good.

By the way, in the case of Google Maps, Quick App can't log in, but it can get location information. It's better this way.

I don't know what to say. There is no doubt that there will be a system-based GMS in HarmonyOS in the near future, but without GMS, the battery will be very quiet (the notification will hardly fly over), so I am personally very satisfied with the status quo. If you have a second plane...

However, as I have told you many times, HarmonyOS is used alone, EMUI (... Then again, the experience of Android) hasn't changed much. Apart from paying attention to the features of the latest model of cameras produced by HUAWEI and feeling the hard charm, I don't think it's necessary to make a blockbuster for the operating system. Those who want to try can wait to go down to the dormant terminal.
