Libec (Heiwa Seiki Kogyo) will release a small professional jib arm "JB40" in February 2021. The price is 260,000 yen for the jib arm alone and 520,000 yen for the jib arm / tripod / dolly / weight kit (both tax excluded).
"JB40" was born as a successor to JB-30. JB40 is a compact jib arm for professionals that is robust, compact, and lightweight. Assuming use in front operation, it is effective in the field where stable and flexible camera work is required even for heavy cameras. It is light enough to be operated by a small crew, and has a simple design so that it can be set up immediately even in a busy site.

-Robustness A maximum weight of 30 kg can be mounted, and stable shooting is possible with a design that minimizes bending and blurring.
-High portability performance The jib arm fits in about 120 cm when folded, so it can be placed in the trunk of a taxi while stored in a special carrying case. A shoulder strap is attached to the case, and the weight of the arm alone is about 10 kg, reducing the burden during transportation.
-Compact design By sliding the main arm, it can be miniaturized to a minimum radius of about 1 m, and it can be used anywhere indoors or in a narrow shooting set.
-Evolved weight mounting method The weight shaft, which was a screw-in type in the JB30, is now a plug-in type, greatly reducing the time required for setting and withdrawal.
